    It is an Egyptian shareholding company subject to the provisions of Law No. 10 of 1981, as amended by Law No. 118 of 2008, concerning the supervision and control of insurance in Egypt.

    It was established in 1980 and is a member of the Egyptian Insurance Companies Association. It began its insurance activities in the Egyptian market starting from March 1981.

    Delta Life Assurance Company was established in July 2013 after separating personal insurance activities from property insurance.
    Delta Insurance Company owns a 99.9% stake in Delta Life Assurance.

    • Delta Insurance operates as an Egyptian joint-stock company in accordance with Insurance Law No. 10/1981, as amended by Law No. 91/1995, concerning supervision and regulation of insurance in Egypt.
    • It was established with a capital of 2 million Egyptian pounds, and the paid-up capital is 1 million Egyptian pounds.
    • Insurance operations started in January 1981.
    • Shareholders rights are 617 million Egyptian pounds.
    • The net investments are 1.167 billion Egyptian pounds.
    • Life insurance activity was separated according to Law No. 118/2008. The Delta Life Assurance Company was established on November 1, 2011, with a paid-up capital of 60 million Egyptian pounds, and it is owned by Delta Insurance Company with a 99% stake.
    • In order to ensure and protect the rights of the company's shareholders and also the policyholders, reinsurance protection is arranged with A classglobal reinsurance companies.
